Aftercare Advice
Ingrown hairs are a condition whereby the hair curls back or grows sideways into the skin. Common symptoms include red spots, itchy skin, whiteheads (pustules) and localised inflammation, which can sometimes be painful. They can be caused by all the various forms of hair removal but the most common cause results from not carrying out the correct aftercare procedures.
Treatment & prevention include sticking to your aftercare advice and using Lycons Ingrown X-it range. Consult with your therapist for the most suitable home-care advice for you.
Avoid the following for 24/48 hours after waxing:
- Hot baths/showers
- Tight clothing
- Exercise/Anything that will cause you to perspire
- Heat treatments or UV exposure (including Sauna)
- Body lotions / Fake tan

Airbrush Tanning for Men & Women
Anything I should know before having a spray tan?
On the day of getting your spray tan, exfoliate that morning (or evening before) and do not apply any body lotions, moisturisers or deodorants. Wear loose, dark clothes. We supply the disposable underwear.
The tan itself takes only 10 minutes to apply, however it takes 8 hours to develop, so we recommend that you have your shower the following day without using soaps or shower gels for this 1st shower.
We also recommend that you start to exfoliate after the 3rd day and use plenty of moisturiser.
